CHAMP is a $10.6 million funding package in Governor Ted Kulongoski’s recommended budget for the 2007-09 biennium. It includes cultural reinvestments totaling $10.6 million to fund the Oregon Arts Commission’s Creative Oregon Initiative, the Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Public Broadcasting, the Oregon Film and Video Office, and the new Oregon Main Street Program. CHAMP is a step toward restoring the public funding for Oregon’s cultural resources. More information at governor.oregon.gov. Or visit OPB’s online resource at www.opb.org/insideopb .
Cultural Lobbying Day is coordinated by the Cultural Advocacy Coalition, Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Cultural Trust, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Office of Film and Video, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and the State Historic Preservation Office.
